The School That Cannot Be Closed.

We're building an AI-powered, Afghan volunteer-guided platform to deliver a complete Grade 7–12 curriculum in Pashto and Dari — available online, offline, and self-paced — for every Afghan student who deserves to learn.

Open Platform·Community Guided·Afghan-Led

Why This Exists

Education Is a Right. Not a Privilege.

On 15 August 2021, the Taliban seized power and immediately began dismantling two decades of educational progress. Within weeks, every secondary school for Afghan girls was ordered closed — Grade 7 and above, gone by decree.

Today, Afghanistan is the only country in the world where secondary and higher education is strictly forbidden to girls and women. Grade 6 marks the end of formal schooling for millions of Afghan girls — not because of capacity, not because of talent, but because of law.

Wakhan Academy is building the school that cannot be shuttered. An open, digital, offline-capable institution in their own languages, beyond the reach of any decree.
